Do you charge per product or per shot/photograph?

We charge per shot. For example, if you have a bottle of perfume and you want two different angles of it, i.e., two different shots, we will charge you per shot, or photograph taken.

How do I get my product to and from your studio?

We ask that you carefully wrap and box your product, insure it, include a pre-paid and insured return label, and mail it off to us. After we finish shooting some great photos, we’ll carefully wrap and pack and ship your product back to you with your pre-paid label. If you decide it is not worth the cost of the shipping for us to mail it back to you, you can choose to leave the product with us. If you decide to leave your product with us, we will likely donate it to charity if applicable. Of course, if you’re local, you’re welcome to drop on by and say hello in person!

How do I show you how I want my product photographed?

Glad you asked! Feel free to send us sample shots of similar items so that we can see what you have in mind. For new clients we will send a couple of proofs via text to make sure that we are on the same page before shooting the entire project.

Can I show you how I want my product lit?

For product and jewelry shots on white, we have standard lighting techniques that we use. This enables us to be prompt and consistent with what we deliver. That said, we will use our best judgement to light your unique product to show it off. If you like the examples in our portfolio, you’ll like your shots too. If you have something very specific, or are not doing shots on white, we’re happy to discuss!

If I don’t like my photo, will you re-shoot it?

Good question! Our goal is to make you happy. However, since we are offering professional product shots at a much lower rate than a studio where an art director is present and a stylist is on set to tweak and perfect each shot, we do have some conditions. Our goal in discussing in detail prior to shooting, looking at example shots, and sending a couple of proofs is to get a good grasp of your desired outcome. If you decide after it is shot and finished that you’ve changed your mind about the angle you want, etc. we are happy to re-shoot at our normal rate. If we did something wrong and didn’t follow the directions provided, we will refund your money or re-shoot the product to the provided specifications. If you chose not to provide much direction, and change your mind later, we will cheerfully re-shoot at our normal rate. Styled shots require some flexibility in the exact outcome of what is asked for. This is also where the couple of proofing images come in handy.

How quickly do I get my photographs?

Turnaround time varies depending on our workload and your project. Give us a call or drop us an email to discuss details. We offer rush charges for some jobs as long as they fit in our schedule.

How do you deliver my photo files?

We will send you your finished files via Drop Box. From there you can download them onto your computer. You don’t even need an account. Easy peasy.

What type of files are delivered?

You can have your choice of a tif file or a jpg. If you choose to have a clipping path, those files will have the path embedded. If you need another type of file, or want us to resize an image for you, let us know, and we’ll see what we can do. Nominal fees may apply.

Do you photograph jewelry or clothing? How about shoes?

Give us a call and we can chat. We enjoy shooting jewelry and the unique challenges that come with it. Because of the complex lighting and sometimes time intensive retouching needed to make jewelry look its best, we can give you a quote based on the job.
Clothing (and scarves) requires a slightly different set up than normal product shots. If you want an on model shot, we can quote you based on the job. For off model, we can chat about what you are looking for. We shoot shoes and will provide you with a custom quote based on your needs. We do shoot socks and other clothing related accessories as well. If you’re in doubt, just ask as we shoot just about anything

I think a black background fits my brand better. Can you do that?

You bet! We think black backgrounds look sharp, too! We’re happy to give you a custom quote for your project! Sometimes it’s the same pricing, but there might be a diffeence depending on the product.

I see pricing listed for On White photography, but not other studio work. Do you have it listed?
